Fideles Family Involvement Team -
Fideles FIT
FIT is our PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship)
whose purpose is to provide training and support for parents and
to organize parent volunteers to support and serve the school. Our
goal is to enhance our parent/school relationship i.e.: to seek to
develop a good fit between the two.
We work to accomplish this purpose in the
following ways:
Parent Education - training workshops and mentoring programs for parents in
the school.
Parent Encouragement - support meetings and social events for families in
the school.
Teacher Support - parent volunteers to help in the school on a
week-to-week, day-to-day basis, such as room moms, car pool
volunteers, field trips…
Fund Raisers - fund raisers to help the school provide an
excellent program at an affordable price.
Upper School Clubs and Extracurricular
- clubs and activities for high
school and middle school students such as debate teams, yearbook
staff, drama clubs…..
Lower School Extracurricular - events for the lower school such as field
day and the Thanksgiving Feast.
Spiritual Emphasis - spiritual activities such as prayer
chain, character development programs for students, service
projects….
It is our desire to get parents involved in
the school for two reasons. First, it creates a sense of ownership
or investment for parents as well as establishing a "school
community." Second, the school can offer a much wider variety
of activities and events with parent volunteers. Every parent in
the school is asked volunteer for at least one activity during the
course of the school year.
